Druva will end support for Object Store with the upcoming inSync On-Premises 5.9.8 patch release scheduled for July 13, 2018. Why is this change necessary? Based on the customer demand and technical enhancements to Druva's proprietary File Store technology, Druva has decided to end its engineering efforts for Object Store. What is the impact of this change? After upgrading to On-Premises 5.9.8 patch, backups will fail for devices that are mapped to the Object Store. inSync administrators must create a new File Store and assign users to the new storage. After the user migration is complete, inSync will initiate a full backup of all the devices. Data in the Object Store (prior to switching to File Store) will continue to be available for restore as per the defined retention policy settings.
